NEARLY ONE.

This little man is nearly one and just the apple of his parent’s eyes. He was an absolute joy to photograph but when the cars and lorries went by and he was totally mesmerised. What is it with boys and cars and do they ever grow out of it? Certainly not in my house (yes Chris, I’m talking about you!) What a joy to be part of a new beginning. To know that in a few weeks this gorgeous couple will be blessed with a child is something that can’t help but make you smile and what could be better than recording the moment for them. Following on from the gorgeous little poppet I photographed recently. Here are a few of her and her lovely mummy making the most of the springtime sunshine. The ones in white are my particular favourites as I just LOVE the colours. Her dress, the white blossom and the tea set all gelled together beautifully.

BACK TO WORK

Finally!!! After 5 long months in the photography wilderness recovering from my second back operation I have managed to do my first photoshoot. I couldn’t have asked for a better subject and this blog is part one of two. Isn’t she just GORGEOUS with her big eyes and soft, fluffy hair. The shoot put me through my paces, lying on the floor with a camera is not the best for a bad back but when you have a subject like this, you’ll do what it takes. I walked into the house and saw the red blanket and just had to use it. Look out for the next instalment coming soon.

I also want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone (you know who you are) who has supported me through this tough time – I owe you all an awful lot. Sarah x

SECOND TIME AROUND

The last time I was asked to photograph this lovely family was when their beautiful little girl was only a few months old. I love being invited back to photograph families for the second and often third time – just seeing how the children have grown in between is just amazing. Their features often change but the one thing I remembered so well about this little girl was her huge brown eyes, which have definitely stayed the same. Such a poppet and definitely in charge of her two older brothers, who adore her…

Their cousins were also at the house and although one was a little camera shy, this little one loved the limelight…

SQUEEZING EVERYONE IN

The phone is ringing and the email enquiries coming thick and fast. Trying to squeeze everyone in before Christmas is proving difficult with this awful weather. However, someone was looking down on me this afternoon and held the rain off for just long enough to capture this cute little girl and her lovely parents. Mum said that her daughter loved trees, so off we went to find the brightest autumn tree and leaves we could find – not easy when most of the leaves have been blown off in the rain and squished into the mud. She was an absolute poppet and fell fast asleep in her daddy’s arms the minute I took the last shot. I had to include the picture of her tiny little hand, just because you forget so quickly how small they are at that age – it’s those little details that get lost in time so easily…

NEW BORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

Well this shoot put my “mummy hormones” into overdrive! Just how sweet and totally innocent is this beautiful little baby girl – only three weeks old. Personally, I think mum and dad were amazing organising a photoshoot so soon, as I seem to recall being in total shock with my first born and not even able to get dressed by mid day, let alone get photographs taken! We started off the session inside but as always, my heart lies out doors so we went for a quick walk and were rewarded with these beautiful shots while the warm September sunshine blessed the day…

MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT

Look at this beautiful woman in the full bloom of pregnancy. It’s a joy to be asked to photograph someone’s bump – you feel that you’re part of the story before the baby has even arrived and it’s so nice chatting and being reminded of all the things that happen when you’re pregnant. This lady was so calm about everything and already so full of love for the little person growing inside her that I think she will have the most laid back baby ever…

Warner and Mole Commercial Photography

I was recently approached by the gorgeous Sam Warner of Warner & Mole to photograph their new children’s clothing range. Take a look at these gorgeous t-shirts and body suits – all designed in house and manufactured using the softest fabrics in scrummy colours (oh why can’t my children be small again!). FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT – RIDGEVIEW WINE ESTATE

It’s always fab to get to shoot somewhere a little different, so I was really pleased to be asked to take photographs of four gorgeous little boys at the Ridgeview Wine Estate in Ditchling, Sussex. What a beautiful setting and a wonderful place for little cousins to run around and play for hours on end. If you get a chance to visit, this amazing award wining vineyard will not disappoint.
