Another day and other gorgeous family to photograph despite the sun disappearing at the crucial moment. Don’t you just melt when you see those huge brown eyes! Such a sweetie and just beginning to find his feet.

What is it with dads and their daughters? Mine has the ability to wrap her daddy around her little finger and he visibly melts when she gives him a big hug. There again, I seem to remember doing a similar thing to my dad when I needed something that I couldn’t possibly live without during my teenage years. No doubt that this little one will do exactly the same as she is so gorgeous…

What can I say apart from how soft and gorgeous is this beautiful baby boy? Only a couple of weeks old and born the day before my baby boy turned 18. Can it really be 18 years since this happened to me – it feels like yesterday. How time has flown. Knowing the mummy of this cute little bundle well, I know that he will be loved and treasured for every second of his precious life as he is nothing short of perfect. Many congratulations.

Yesterday I was asked to speak on Radio Sussex/Surrey and about photography and photographs that show emotion or remind us of a special moment in time. I tried to convey that that when we show pictures to clients not all of them (in fact very few) are of them all smiling in to the camera. I love to leave in shots where the emotion comes through, sometimes showing photographs where their little one is sucking his thumb or sticking out his tongue in a cheeky moment conveys something to the parents that words can’t describe and often they are the ones they end up picking. These three images just pulled on my heart strings and I know the parents felt the same.

Meet the happiest baby on the planet and his very proud (and rightly so) parents. He was just like a little ray of sunshine! I photographed mum and dad’s wedding a couple of years ago so it was so lovely to be asked to photograph their little baby boy. Hopefully this will be one of many shoots documenting his life in the years to come and I’m so pleased to be asked to be a part of it.
Such a sweet little man to photograph along with his gorgeous parents. I love these pictures, especially his tiny little hands reaching for the heart. I also totally covet his mummy’s beautiful dress and that fact that she looks so stunning in it. Thank you both for a lovely afternoon and here’s your sneak peak…

This little man is nearly one and just the apple of his parent’s eyes. He was an absolute joy to photograph but when the cars and lorries went by and he was totally mesmerised. What is it with boys and cars and do they ever grow out of it? Certainly not in my house (yes Chris, I’m talking about you!)
Anyway, check out the shots below and see what a gorgeous and joyful little soul he is…

What a joy to be part of a new beginning. To know that in a few weeks this gorgeous couple will be blessed with a child is something that can’t help but make you smile and what could be better than recording the moment for them. I hope that “bump” brings you both much happiness and few sleepless nights. Sarah x

Following on from the gorgeous little poppet I photographed recently. Here are a few of her and her lovely mummy making the most of the springtime sunshine. The ones in white are my particular favourites as I just LOVE the colours. Her dress, the white blossom and the tea set all gelled together beautifully.

Finally!!! After 5 long months in the photography wilderness recovering from my second back operation I have managed to do my first photoshoot. I couldn’t have asked for a better subject and this blog is part one of two. Isn’t she just GORGEOUS with her big eyes and soft, fluffy hair. The shoot put me through my paces, lying on the floor with a camera is not the best for a bad back but when you have a subject like this, you’ll do what it takes. I walked into the house and saw the red blanket and just had to use it. Look out for the next instalment coming soon.
I also want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone (you know who you are) who has supported me through this tough time – I owe you all an awful lot. Sarah x
