A proud day

Here is something I’ve been dreaming of for sometime now. It gives me a fuzzy kind of feeling to see my name over the door. Being on a farm the smell outside can get a little “rural” as I am discovering today but I can look out of the windows at the beautiful Borde Hill country estate and wouldn’t change it for the world. The lovely window boxes were supplied by Joss Tranter of Dig Gardens www.diggardens.co.uk 01444 450702

Can I model?

Quite often on a shoot I’m asked if I think their child would  make a good model.  Not doubt in my mind with this gorgeous little girl. Not only does she look beautiful but she is just so much fun to work with. She kept me smiling from beginning to end when usually it’s me who has to do the entertaining. Perhaps I’ll offer her a job as my assistant.

BBC Radio Sussex/Surrey

Yesterday I was asked to speak on Radio Sussex/Surrey and about photography and photographs that show emotion or remind us of a special moment in time.  I tried to convey that that when we show pictures to clients not all of them (in fact very few) are of them all smiling in to the camera.  I love to leave in shots where the emotion comes through, sometimes showing photographs where their little one is sucking his thumb or sticking out his tongue in a cheeky moment conveys something to the parents that words can’t describe and often they are the ones they end up picking.  These three images just pulled on my heart strings and I know the parents felt the same.

All you need is love…

Such a sweet little man to photograph along with his gorgeous parents. I love these pictures, especially his tiny little hands reaching for the heart. I also totally covet  his mummy’s beautiful dress and that fact that she looks so stunning in it. Thank you both for a lovely afternoon and here’s your sneak peak…
